Business consulting for companies that are done guessing
We sit inside your numbers, your team dynamics and your market position. Then we build a plan you can actually follow, with milestones that mean something. Based in England, working with owner-managed firms across the UK since 2017.

Diagnostic call (free, 45 minutes)
We listen. You walk us through what the business looks like right now: revenue shape, cost drags, team capacity, the decisions keeping you up at night. No slides, no pitch. We take notes and ask pointed questions.
Data dive (weeks 1–2)
We request your P&L, cash-flow statements, CRM export and org chart. Our analysts look for the three or four leverage points where a change would move the overall result. You get a written brief, not a 90-page deck.
Strategy workshop (day-long, on-site)
Your leadership team and our lead consultant spend a full day together. We present findings, debate priorities, then co-author a 12-month action plan with owners assigned to every line item. Lunch is on us.
Monthly check-ins (ongoing)
Every four weeks we review what moved, what stalled and why. We adjust the plan, not the goal. Most clients stay with us for 8 to 14 months. Some come back two years later for a second round when the business has outgrown the first plan.
What we actually do
Profit and margin analysis
We pull apart your revenue streams line by line. Which products earn their keep? Which customers cost more to serve than they pay? You get a ranked list with a clear recommendation: grow, reprice or drop.
Operational efficiency
Slow fulfilment, duplicated roles, approval bottlenecks: these things quietly eat margin. We map your core workflows, time them and redesign the ones that waste the most hours. Typical saving is 12–18% of labour cost within six months.
Leadership and team structure
Growing from 15 to 50 people breaks most org charts. We help you design reporting lines, hire for the gaps that actually matter and build a management rhythm (weekly, monthly, quarterly) that keeps everyone aligned without drowning in meetings.
Growth planning and market entry
Thinking about a new geography, a second product line or an acquisition? We stress-test the idea against your current cash position and capacity. If it passes, we build the financial model, the timeline and the risk register. If it doesn't, we tell you that too, with the numbers to back it up. Honest advice saves more money than optimistic advice ever will.
Outcomes from recent engagements
We track results for 18 months after each project closes. Here are three figures from 2024 client work.
A 40-person logistics firm in the Midlands repriced three service tiers and exited two unprofitable routes after our margin analysis. The margin lift showed within one quarter.
An e-commerce retailer had five overlapping software subscriptions and a warehouse pick process that required three touches per order. We cut it to one touch and consolidated tools.
A SaaS company wanted to enter the German market but had been "planning" for 14 months. We delivered a go-to-market playbook in three weeks; they launched in nine.
Rooted in England, working across the UK
Our office is in Upton Hirthehampton. Most of our clients are within a two-hour drive, which means we show up in person for workshops, board meetings and the occasional awkward conversation that really shouldn't happen over Zoom.
We also work with firms in Scotland and Wales on a remote-first basis, flying in for the key sessions. The model adapts; the rigour doesn't.
Questions we hear often
Most of our clients turn over between £2m and £30m. Below that threshold, the consulting fee is hard to justify against the potential gain. Above it, you probably need a larger firm with sector-specific teams. We are honest about where we fit.
A typical 12-month engagement runs between £3,500 and £6,000 per month depending on scope. The diagnostic call is free, and we quote a fixed monthly fee before you commit. No hourly billing, no surprise invoices.
No. We work alongside them. Your accountant handles compliance and tax; your FD manages day-to-day finance. We focus on strategic decisions: where to invest, what to cut, how to restructure. Different job, same data.
Yes. We offer standalone margin audits and growth-readiness assessments as fixed-fee projects. They take four to six weeks and produce a written report with prioritised recommendations. Many clients move to a retainer afterwards, but there is no obligation.
Plans rarely survive contact with reality unchanged. That is why we do monthly check-ins: to catch stalls early, understand why they happened and adjust. If after three months you feel the engagement isn't delivering value, you can end it with 30 days' notice. We have a 91% retention rate, so this rarely comes up, but the exit clause is there in writing.
